Actually I never claimed such.  You just committed a strawman.  I repeat what I said. Poverty did exists before capitalism. Capitalism has nothing to do with creating or solving poverty in it's core meaning. It's about individuals freedom and rights to conduct business and have their personal wealth. "Also since you don't even understand what Socialism is about you aren't qualified to discuss socialist countries with me. " I understand what socialism is but you don't seem to understand it. Socialism is where means and production is controller by state. State can be either democratic or dictatorship. But the point is that state has it all. While in communism everything is owned by everyone. "You're apparently assuming that the problems underdeveloped and despotic countries have suffered were caused by socialism" They were. In fact havana vs hong kong shows this as good evidence. Hong Kong used to be shit hole until it adopted capitalism. And vietnam used to be wealthy asian country until socialism came. North korea vs south korea. Great example. How russia became a shit hole after communistic revolution. Are you going to claim that 1900 century russia wasn't developed country at it's time?

  2. Great... a propaganda film to demonize western civilization. First of all rich king isn't same as rich people. Incan king being rich didn't mean that the people weren't poor in there. Same for Africa. For average person european was no different from their previous ruler, expect it provided medicine that actually works and new technology with them. Also Chinese had poverty even before westerners arrived there. What is poverty? Being unemployed, that is what poverty is. Not able to do work in order to earn your living. How to solve it? Create more jobs. Also acknowledging the fact that not all can work due being disable. In short, poverty has always existed in every corner of the earth even before westerners. Only a total idiot would think that it was invented by the west.

  4. +TheFreeFlow You cannot say that poverty didn't get reduced simply because life expectancy was reduced. There are many things affecting here. Like the fact that people didn't know about how dangerous industrial waste was for health. People didn't even know that radioactivity was harmful back in then. Heck they even sold products which were radioactive to women so that they could increase their lips size. It's funny that someone who believes in communistic/socialistic utopia calls capitalism as a myth.
