  9. You're not talking about the negative sides of this. Such as EU army would be used against EU memberstates to keep them in line. Or the issue of corruption when it comes to standardized army. Which would also slow down weapon development due to lack of competition. Not to mention the huge tax increase when EU is already in decline regarding to economy.
