USA's dollar's value is heavily tied on it's stability and can countries that are part of petrodollar coalition trust USA's help. With trade with against USA's allies he ensured that dollar became unstable and might soon lose it's status as world reserve currency. This will lead into massive inflation and economic disaster for USA. Especially when people stop trading dollars to oil. Not just that but USA's weapon industry suffered a lot since now Europe... Aka your biggest client. Will start manufacturing their own weapons, since they can't trust that USA would supply them in times of need. Basically you just removed all of your allies and influence for what?
