USSR is good example that public sector is less efficient than private sector. So much money on education and research yet they could just barely make some competition with the west that did just put little bit investment.

@Hugov6000 This is just blatantly false. They didn't have the information that soviets had and they were already researching it on their own. Had their tried to mimic right after them by just looking at them. Then they wouldn't have won the space race for the moon. Also reminder soviets murdered a puppy during these tests. Westerners did it better and didn't sacrifice human lives and quality of life to get to that point .While communists basically sacrificed everything. "advanced education for the ones that can pay while the soviets focused on everyone getting educated." Clearly you have never been in a school. All schools teach the same stuff regargless are they considered as ivy league or not. Ivy league schools are just for the title of elite only. It doesn't make better students, they only take in better students so they can carry it as badge of honor in their CV. If you actually look at soviet education people were dumb asf.

Left wing in nutshell. Ignore reality for sake of fantasy and then use that to implement policies. Nothing is more natural in this world than competition. Even groups that co-operate do it so that they can compete against others groups/individuals.
