  1. Problem really is that when non-intelligent person tries to write intelligent character. They just make them basically "know it all" who knows everything and solutions to the problems is done out of thin air, usually in "captain hindsight" manner such as (ah I knew you're going to do this so I made this complex elaborate plan before it which had tons of details and if even single one of them doesn't come true then I would've died). Not to mention The modern Sherlock has habit of jumping in conclusions. Lot of cases there could've been alternative explanation for something.
