Exactly the worst part is that Trump and JD are highly uneducated on this manner. This is normal behavior by Russia. They will always try to get some land from "ceasefire/peace" agreements and then launch attacks again couple/few years later. It's known as salami slicing tactic. Russia will never keep it's promises thus ceasefire would only benefit Russia in it's long term plan

@maxelsstellh7687 Because again... They made ceasefire treaties before and Russia broke them. The issue is lack of safety guarantees. Unless America is willing to put it's boots on the land, there will be no amount of treaties that would stop russia from invading.
