@ddiesel1836 Russia did invade Finland when they were neutral. During WW2 this happened. For Russia no one is neutral unless they are their slaves.

Actually it was public pressure which made politicians to want to join to NATO.

They literally threatened with millitary actions and nuclear weapons before it. The mild reaction happened only after we made it clear that we will join. It's only mild because Russia knows that they can't stop us and there is no point to threat anymore. Also while NATO is not offensive threat to Russia. Russia will still have to place more troops to eastern borders. This will force them to use even more military budget. Which is a good thing of course.

@RifetOkic Let's be honest... Russia and USSR are enemy of humanity. As long as they exists then human extinction is inevitable. Having nukes aimed at those monsters is just right thing to do.

@georgeeagle872 1. Korean war was USA helping south korea to have it's independence, it wasn't invasion. 2. Same as Korean war. On basis of these two I can already proclaim that you just made gish gallop without actually knowing what you talk about. Only Iraq counts as actual invasion by USA. But not just that but there is large difference on ethics that USA has in comparison to Russians. Russian commit genocide and assault innocent civilians as long as they have hole. USA doesn't level down cities and does it's best to respect human rights. Russia is the enemy of humanity.

@MrFlazz99 NATO building empire? So there are taxes and leaders who decide how people in NATO should live? Stop being delusional. NATO is just defense allience. Considering it as empire is just flat out stupid. "Russia holds the gas supply tap to a lot of Europe" Europe did just fine without Russian gas before. Plus we are now focusing more on green energy. Simply put Gas is thing of the past. It just takes a while to transition. Russia will be destroyed like it should.

But we both know that this is just plan to cause global famine with China. It's not about conquering Ukraine, it's about destroying the humanity.

Maybe you're 'Murican so you don't know this but every nation living next to Russia knows this very well. Russia doesn't care about "neutrality" it wants to have full domination.

But UK, US, France, Spain and portugal aren't existential threat to Finland. However Russia is and we Finns know this very well. We know what sort of inhumane monsters they are. No souls.

But USA is hardly relevant on why Finland should or should not join NATO. Since USA isn't threat to US while Russia is and Russians are known from their fanaticism to commit ethnic cleansing.

Turkey is already siding with Russia. IT has for years. In fact Turkey should've been kicked out from the alliance the moment they bought Russian weapons.

@sharpsnowflake8721 The real reason is that China and Russia are trying to cause global famine. They are enemy of the humanity. How do I know this? China has been hoarding food for past 2-3 years. While Russia is literally destroying Ukraine. They aren't just conquesting cities and seizing them under them. They have bombed those cities back to stone age. There is literally nothing to gain in Ukraine that would give economic benefic... However they could make whole world starve if Ukraine is destroyed and Russia and China alliance would refuse to sell their food with reasonable price. In case you still don't understand. Both Russia and China already started ww3 and people are too stupid to understand it.
