@C. Feral We have one of the biggest armies on the planet. Largest artillery force, our society has cities fortified and filled with bunkers that can even defend against nuclear bombs. Lot's of forest and swamp to make it nightmare to invade. We have been preparing for war by stockpiling supplies and weapons for past 70-years. Since our childhood we have been told that Russia will try to invade us eventually, thus they are our eternal enemy. All healthy men in our country has been trained for war in military. Simply put... our society has been bred for war. In fact only countries that would be bigger mistake would be countries with nuclear weapons. Finland has literally been build on to defend against Russians.

@CulturalMarx USSR wasn't capable army at all. They got their intel and equipment, plus other supplies from allied forces. While finland became independent recently and had even civil war. Current Finland has been preparing for war for past 70-years and is richer country than Russia per capita. Which is why it's common for russians to immigrate to Finland and their women to lust after Finnish men for easy passport.
