  1. +Mario Mannella You could argue that it was the Caesar who corrupted it. Dictator was a huge taboo in roman society until Caesar came. Whole rome was builded on the idea that there wouldn't be kings anymore. Capable king can do good for country but average or bad king will crash it down. That is exactly what we saw in fall of rome. Incapable power hungry people failing to comprehend how dire the situation is.
