You could hire thugs to protect you , but nothing makes sure that they won't just gut you later on. "And if they decided that the government should get involved in your everyday life and steal 40% of your income, then what?" Feel free to leave. Since that same government that "steals" your income has provided you services for your income. A lot of them in fact. And even supported you enough so that you could earn a lot. Basically you just want to be parasite and when government asks something back you call them as parasite.

  3. +sonotover False, this just proves that you have no idea what democracy is. It's a system where individuals have freedom to affect in their own future. It's a only system which gives most room for debate and possibility to persuade other people to support your view. Even the sheep has freedom to vote in democracy. While in any other system sheep wouldn't have even that.

  4. +CellLord01 That would be anarchy and would immediately be contradicted by the fact that your freedom to decide your own life could restrict other people's freedom. Any smart person realizes why anarchy doesn't work. Also in democracy majority aren't deciding how you live your life. They merely decide how government should take action. The options are limited. Either you give all the power to corrupted few or to average mass.
