@cjmacq-vg8um the opposite. I'm more informed than you. Every nation is not capitalist country. In most countries on the planet government intervention on markets and property is high. Expect in western world. Also global statistics support my view. Western societies have least corruption on this planet. While every communist and socialist regime is filled with corruption.

@pd5826 First of all. There is no benefit in manipulating scarcity. When price is too high, people won't buy your product. you want to produce as much as possible and sell it as much as possible. Both supply and demand are needed. Also no, Economies can't be planned. When were talking about plannet economies, we are talking about highly centralized state that tries to micromanage things that it's not capable to micromanage. Most of the corporations and companies collapse before they even get to make profit. It's very low chance to actually make successful business. It takes lot of skill and talent to pull it off. Something that politicians don't have, and even in this case these people's skills and talents can be limited to only certain fields. This is why all planned economies collapse. Still didn't get it? Okay, do you honestly think that politicians would be capable to determine how many certain animals and plans should exists in rainforest in order for it to function? That is markets in the nutshell. It's organic, it's a jungle. Where only fittest survive. No one is capable enough to understand it in such extend that they could plan it centrally. It's far beyond human abilities. Thus it can only be managed locally. Where species and plants (corporations, and other private organizations) themselves fight among themselves to see which ones can survive in that environment.

Everything can be replaced, just like every socialist and communist state eventually replaced their system with capitalism. Capitalism isn't the only system, but it's the only one which actually provides most wanted societies in history of the planet.
