  2. Correlation does not imply causation. This is harmful stereotype that intelligent people are ones to get depressed. I seen total braindead people being depressed and highly intelligent people enjoying every aspect of life. You can logic your way out of depression. It's not about how the life is now, but how it can be. You need to pull them out of their rear ends and make them realize that they should build up themselves to get to the point they want to be in. Now before someone comes here and tries to refute me "you don't know what depression is" etc... I suffered from depression around 10-years and was first diagnosed after already suffering it 8-years. I have experienced it and got over it. This self-pity parade and "only smart people get depression" is just insulting and not constructive at all. You're not depressed because you're smart. You're depressed because you're tooo lazy to improve yourself and too selfish to see that you're not that unique in your suffering.
