@shogunofharlem8240 did you even watch the video? Muscle help you to be insulin sensitive and they absorb and need carbs. However if you have no muscles then all of those carbs will be wasted and will go into fat cells instead.

@hoodoooperator.5197 there is no need to mention it. Since he already mentioned that issue is insulin sensitivity levels. Everything that increases your insulin levels and decreases sensitivity will screw you up if you don't have enough muscles to back it up.

@josephboustany4852 Metabolism slowing down during low carb diets is norm. I have experienced it first hand. It is helpful in the first 1-2 months but after it you will end up plateauing and weight just doesn't go down unless you cut down with food to the unhealthy extreme, which in return will screw up your hormones, which in return will make it even harder to lose weight.

So go to gym, build up muscles and avoid sugar?

It seems that the take is... Avoid sugar, Eat carbs before workout to feed your muscles with energy. Then after it eat high protein food and avoid carbs until next day.

@simonround2439 One year huh? That's just newbie gains. You basically enjoy similar effect as using droids in your first year. Thus losing weight and building muscle is possible.
