@wyunaboy lol Russians propaganda. Russia begged Finland for peace. If they hadn't done that then western troops would've got Berlin first. Russian millitary and soldiers have always been pathetic. They were humiliated by smaller country. Also russia tried ro conquest Finland and failed to do so. Finland was only country that successfully resisted Russia.

@dusanvr kept independence mad humiliated a superpower. Not only that but the war casualties tell the real story. Russians are weak, all they can hope to do is to overwhelm with numbers.

Finland had less troops and tanks and still managed to destroy huge junk of Russian army. One Finnish man is equal of 10 Russians by the score. Also taking out capital isn't as easy as you think. In fact that is the hardest part of the fights to take over cities. Not to mention that war isn't simply won after taking capital. @DrCruel lol it's the otheway around. Finland is only country that managed to resist Russian and kept it's independence. Only reason why were not satelite state for Russia is because they are too scared to attack us again.

@dusanvr Lol don't be a clown. Whole "russians security being threatened" is a joke. You really think that anyone would declare war on nuclear power? Only mistake Ukranians made was to remove their nuclear missiles in deal where Russia promised to never send any military troops into Ukraine if they do so.

Common... anyone with brains would understand that Finland just gave that piece of land to save Russia's face from the total humiliation they had faced. Fun fact... over 90% of Russian landmass is totally worthless.

@henriht1147 Saw it years ago, I don't keep everything recorded that I have read. Fact is, Russia tried to conquest Finland with same method it did other countries next to it. Aka pleading for territory where they can place their troops against nazies. While in truth those troops would be used to pressure the politicians to join the soviet union or to blitz their capital if they refuse to do so. This is literally the tactic that Soviets used to gain whole eastern Europe and Balkans. If they just wanted that territory to place troops there against nazies, then they wouldn't have asked them to be part of Russia in peace treaties where nazies were already defeated. It all proves that their goal was to take over Finland as a whole. Just like they had done with Estonia. " Estonians for example had a higher living standard back then than they do now here." @pouncepounce7417 Russia was criminal organization even then. It wasn't "peaceful" negotiation. Those countries were intimidated by guns point blank. Read up the history. Only Finland and Poland had balls to resists Russians.

@pouncepounce7417 well Poland was there so they could get to the Berlin. The soviets originally tried to take over the world but changed the policy after witnessing nukes from the USA.

@pouncepounce7417 Not really true, Sweden, England, Canada... There are plenty of wealthy monarchies. The problem is command economy. Aka state trying to control the economy. While it has to do with the nukes. Communists literally had stated many times that their goal is just to take over the planet. Nuclear weapons just prevented them from waging wars directly.

@pouncepounce7417 All monarchies and dictatorships across the world have divided powers. No one can rule entire country without supporting body of powerful individuals or groups.
