Basically their enemies were too stubborn to give up even when being flattened to the ground and chased out of every city.

The breaking point was when war journalists took photos of napalm used on villages held by vietcon. Look at statistics. US never lost a single engagement in Vietnam and vietcon had far more loses than USA. Also from historical standpoint. USA should've stayed there. Because there were massive cleansing done after USA left and North vietnam broke the treaty. It was humanitarian crisis not something to celebrate or be joyful about.

  22.  @dwl3006  Soviet era nukes most likely have already decayed and are non functional. It's costly to maintain them and soviets weren't known from good quality. Nukes are still mostly used with bombers, and they can be intercepted with ease as proven in current war. They are so old that they might as well blow up in the silos they are based in. Not just that but Finland is located right next to Silos targeting Europe. Finnish army can rush there within hour. Reason why war haven't been declared because we have no interest to be in war there. There is pretty much nothing to gain. Just a poor country which holds no influence or real power. Not just that but we-st in general isn't into attacking without good reason. Also "get us all killed" your country already lost land and they didn't use nukes. Nukes won't ever be used for obvious reasons. Which means your country would just fight traditional warfare and lose in it. This was well proven in certain country in middle-east near certain religious hotzone. It's silly to even claim that decades old missile tech is superior to modern anti-missile. C: This works on assumption that sitting president is right next to the button and somehow got to the information before the actual assault. How about humiliation finns did to you? Or japanese? Or mongols? :D RU is made out of weak men as history has shown. They never win wars in strategy or strength but by burning their own villages and hope that enemy is under prepared for the winter.
