Modern arts in general just lack of talent now days. Most of the stuff being written are made by some fanfic writers. Also what is this obsession of making every show/movie so serious? Didn't they get the memo that serious and dramatic moments mean more when surroundings are comedic and light hearted? Like original Prince of Bel Air actually had some serious moments in it and they were amplified even more due to the fact that show is generally light hearted. So people could emphasize more.
