flat earthers and moon hoxies must be really lonely people, because dear lord they flock here like they have absolutely nothing better to do :P.

Falcon 9 has more successful landing (attempts) in a row than any other rocket launches :D.
10
@mynameisnobody5838 that might be what you are doing, but not I. I educate myself and think rationally about everything.
6
the funniest one was "they will have to demolish the tower in boca chica because the built it without permission" or "they will never be allowed to booster bidet".
4
@Predator42ID "So your saying we should just abandon earth is that right." No, that is not right. What on Earth would make you think that is the correct interpretation of what he/she said.
4
@palmtreeshenanigans "every single booster has failed in every flight so far to do a perfect flight." yeah, we are just 4 flights in, and things are still in development, and they also don't have to perform perfectly...
4
@paulhaynes8045 that is what testing is... a quest for data.
3
@tylerdurden4006 not really, but either way it does not justify you making things up.
3
@darringreen8630 you win some, you lose some. I am not going to sit here and pretend to know better than the spacex engineers.
3
@LordZordid it literally reached space
3
I love it when I think "wellll, this doesn't seem that interesting, I'll just watch the first minute" and then watch the entire video :D.
3
methinks being shouted at has more to do with you rather than what you intend to say.
3
@cristianroy21 if you land with a very little capsule with it's own engine, it is "no problem". The moon has no atmosphere and very little gravity, so it is very easy to leave it. Very easy.
2
It'll be fun too see how they will depict it further!
2
@JAMESWUERTELE usually you send payloads to the moon, not rockets... some of you haters are just so, so dmb.
2
more like "how close did we come to not land".
2
@o-wolf did you even read what I wrote? I specifically said landings in a row, and mentioned rockets, not rocket companies. If you want to act superior, the least you could do is actually read the words that are written.
2
@Patrick-bu5vy you are under e different spell, so you are in no way superior.
2
@ericchin739 lol, first you say "Starship isn't leaving LEO lol " and then you essentially say that Starship might make it to the Moon.
2
@ooooneeee you think he think he does. There is a difference.
2
@Badmavs do you know how many times they have landed falcon 9 in a row? How many times in a row has someone else landed?
2
@TexasCat99 it was not fully loaded to begin with
2
@angrydoggy9170 no, he is completely nuts. He thinks falcon 9 is the worst rocket ever, basically.
2
@-WHITE-BOY TF says the shuttle was more economical than Falcon 9. eod
2
@ronaldgreene5733 yes, they went to the moon
2
they did though, the evidence supporting it is overwhelming. You'd know if you actually looked for it, rather than preferring feeling special "cause you know something few people realize".
2
it did take the static fire like a champ though, did you expect that?
2
neither is more powerful than the Saturn 5.
2
lol, you irrational haters are way, way, way worse than any fanboy.
2
I wonder, are comments like this for real or jokes?
2
@aq_ua ?
1
yea, seems odd to not say anything about that.
1
@TheHaos1 at the same time though, competition is not bad.
1
@-WHITE-BOY found the tf fanboi.
1
@marjansarec2337 when feuding governments tell the same story, where they have all the incentive in the world to embarrass each other, it is a safe bet that the official story is the actual story. This is not a question about what the government says though, but about science, the shape of the Earth is a scientific matter. Anyone who knows science knows the Earth is round because it couldn't be anything else.
1
@Skipbo000 that is not the world we normal people live in though.
1
@paulhaynes8045 is it?
1
fascinating stuff.
1
@ansarafsar6268 do you honestly think that these people are smart enough to fake the moon landing and keep it secret enough for 50 years, but were too stupid to realize they should not film from an obviously impossible angle? Have you really thought this one through?
1
@ansarafsar6268 same here. Do you honestly think they are smart enough to fake it, but stupid enough to leave something like that in if it was an obvious give-away (which it is not, btw. That is how material behaves in a low gravity vacuum)
1
@ansarafsar6268 there are many reasons why a person would not want to swear on the bible other than intent of lying.
1
@ansarafsar6268 it would be difficult for them to get Russia to acknowledge their moon landing if they did that. That is besides the point though. Do you honestly believe these people were smart enough to keep it secret enough, but stupid enough to make mistakes that you could discover? No, you are not smarter than them. You can't think you are smarter than them.
1
@Andrew19085 even unmanned landings? Do you also think it is impossible to send things into orbit?
1
@Andrew19085 what happens if you crash into the firmament?
1
what options do they have? What do you think they should do?
1
@mbbb9244 it will have though, probably, as in starship being able to detatch from SH mid flight and go on its own in quite little time. You could complain starship itself won't have one, but then again the dragon capsule itself does not have any either.
1
@newq it is the logical step forward though...
1
@StevePemberton2 and...?
1
@StevePemberton2 yeah I was not interested in you repeating what you said. I am not sold on your conclusion because I think the logic is not flawless.
1
@StevePemberton2 "It just seems to me that the idea of launching people on Starship without any launch escape puts us right back to 1986." I don't agree with that conclusion.
1
@StevePemberton2 "So finding a statement that I made not even in this thread but in another thread and then quoting it out of context." But I am commenting on what you are saying, and you said that. You being upset that I actually read what you write is incredibly hilarious. Out of context? Lol. "Also we don’t know ..." Exactly, we don't know, yet you are the one her professing that you know absolutely everything about all this and therefor know the future. You don't.
1
@StevePemberton2 you can't just say "out of context" as if that is some kind of win. Your "added context" changes nothing as we both know what you said and wrote. This is not a theater, it is a conversation between you and me. Regarding lies and insults, you started that game in the other thread. Don't start a game you don't want to play. Your false humility does not fool me. I know what you have written and how you elevate yourself as a genius way above anyone working at spacex etc.
1
@StevePemberton2 "And you are fooling yourself if you think I would be having a conversation only with you." That explains why you are unable to have a conversation... "but I'm not afraid of bullies" You have an impressive victim complex. " "Which part of what I said is incorrect" but you refused to answer that" That was the answer. I never claimed you got any simple fact wrong, so that is a dishonest question from you. But you are obviously infallible, so you can't think you can make a mistake, so you have to come to the conclusion that I am a troll. All to save your fragile ego. "as if I would get upset" Dude, your entire existence here is about how you are upset that people have "shouted" at you in the past. This pretend no skin off your back act isn't working. "If I thought I was talking only to you I wouldn't have bothered ..." Bye, I'll give you the last word. I am sure you are desperate enough to take it, so it'll be fun to read your last attempt at saving face :).
1
@JoeOvercoat are you sure you have seen that? I can't recall such a thing-
1
@tylerdurden4006 he didn't only talk about American rockets.
1
@TucsonDude why do you think the space shuttle stopped flying?
1
because the "reusable" upper stage weighs a lot, but is not counted as payload.
1
I agree!
1
Sorry to hear it but also happy for the good news, knock on wood etc!
1
so the Russians didn't lie when they said the U.S. landed on the Moon then :D.
1
the issue is that it would not work very well as an upper stage engine for reuse.
1
@jimjones-pz1tt do you think starlink is fake?
1
@a_kazakis "saving hundreds of millions in the process." oh wow, so much money. Not, that is basically pocket change.
1
imagine having such an inflated sense of self as you have.
1
@ZontarDow no, you are really seeing the wrong thing.
1
@ZontarDow starship is worth it for starlink alone.
1
imo not a lack of in the sense that I would want music. I hate music as it is only distracting.
1
why do you think China has entered this fake enterprise?
1
depends on if you look at the percentage or not, which you really should.
1
you are hilarious as well.
1
@luigeribeiro does not sound like it, not even remotely close.
1
hum? In my experience, people rarely speak negatively about the Russian Space Program. What they did was really impressive, and people know it.
1
@ZontarDow ? you people...
1
@StevePemberton2 "I don’t think it’s that, because it's not just me." Not a good argument. There are a lot of people who can't deal with anyone saying anything positive about SpaceX, and shout muskrat elon fanboi etc to perfectly logical responses.
1
@StevePemberton2 that is exactly the kind of behavior that people don't like. You act all high and mighty, thinking you are better than everyone else.
1
@StevePemberton2 you started it. Don't start a game you don't like to play.
1
3.6 MW. Not great, not terrible.
1
not really. It is surprisingly reliable given that the engine is still in heavy development.
1
@patreekotime4578 still as powerful as s5, and given that it survived it took it better than most expected.
1
@FrankyPi that does not address my point.
1
@FrankyPi I am talking about the internet know-it-alls who didn't think it would survivor the static fire.
1
it is funny how everyone attacked optimus but now there are so, so many companies that are making similar robots.
