@craigduddy8903 I get no hits on google searching for "Scientists claim we are in for a decade long freeze as the suns solar activity slows down by up to 60%" Do you have a link? Is the article based on a scientific paper? If so, what is the original source? (articles are frequently misrepresenting scientific papers)

@craigduddy8903 I didn't find any scientific paper as a source, but after a quick googling I am under the impression that it is about what Valentina Zharkova has said. In one article speaking on the subject, they wrote that she said: "I hope global warning will be overridden by this effect, giving humankind and the Earth 30 years to sort out our pollution," she said. But Professor Zharkova warned that any downward impact on global warming will last only until the Sun's two magnetic waves become active again in the 2050s. "We have to be sorted by that time and prepare everything on Earth for the next big solar activity," she said. So I am not sure what you are referring to when you say "Look at the facts your being lied to."

@craigduddy8903 oh no, it is not an entirely different article at all. It talks about the same things as those with the headline you mentioned. I found it trying to find an original source for what Valentina Zharkova had said, as she was the scientist mentioned. We should go to the original source right? Ask yourself, why do you listen to some of what Valentina Zharkova says and not the other things she says?

The one you referred to have said nothing about what the scientists actually said about the link between solar activity and global warming. No quotation and reference to any scientific paper.

@craigduddy8903 If Valentina Zharkova is not qualified to speak on the subject, then neither are we nor Jon Austin (the author of the article). We would have to rely on what climate scientists say. But what do they say? The article begins with: “SCIENTISTS claim we are in for a decade-long freeze as the sun slows down solar activity by up to 60 per cent.” Who are the “SCIENTISTS” that makes this claim? Valentina Zharkova is the only scientist mentioned and quoted in the article, and there is no reference to any scientific paper or anything at all. If a climate scientist actually made that claim, why would the author not cite or quote them? I seem to have managed to find the relevant paper: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/0004-637X/795/1/46 So it indeed seems like Valentina Zharkova is the main person in terms of this article. Why would anyone think anything else? The most logical conclusion is that the “we are in for a decade-long freeze”-claim is made by the author. A person who is not qualified to make such claim. He is not a scientist and certainly not a climate scientist. EDIT: Not sure what you think of iflscience.com, but they report that they spoke to Valentina Zharkova and wrote (among other things) this about it: She announced the findings from her team's research on solar activity last week at the Royal Astronomical Society. She noted that her team didn't realize how much of an impact their research would have on the media, and that it was journalists (including ourselves) who picked up on the possible impact on the climate.

and those "proofs" have been debunked time and time again. You talk about needing evidence, but what evidence do you have for "it’s natural like eruptions on the sun"?
