how often does that "shut down" happen? Surely this wasn't the only time it hapened.

most people believe they exist. On Earth? That is a whoole another thing.
2
@havable you don't know if it is spacecraft. Many things that have said to be spacecrafts have been shown to be something man made or natural.
2
because aliens on earth is a ludicrous idea, no matter what you might believe.
2
they didn't share their experience with extraterrestrials...
1
eh, Russia was literally ahead in the space race at that time.... That is one of the things that made it so impressive the US landed people on the moon before the Russians. Yes, I had to say people as Russia landed on the moon first.

alien believers can't fathom the idea that something malfunctions, it has to be aliens :P.
1
@blankslate8600 10 warheads don't have to be inoperable at the same time for them to look like they are.
1
@blankslate8600 we are only talking about messaging and possibilities here, no need to retort to sarcasm. What I said makes sense as there are two ways you can get an error message. Either it is a true positive, or it is a false positive. If it is statistically impossible for it to be a true positive, odds are it is a false positive, right?

there is a difference between believing their honesty and believing they encountered ETs....
1
those videos are not of aliens I can tell you.
1
@OldPackMule dude, they are easily explained. Are we 100% sure what they are, no, but it is easy to find a normal explanation. They do not "show a level of technology we can not explain", you only think that because that is what you want to think.
1
@OldPackMule I have studied physics at the university level, so if you can't talk physics to me, you don't know any physics.
1
@OldPackMule that comment really shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. Have you even entertained the notion that this might not be aliens? Do you always go for aliens as soon as you see something you can't explain? What happens when you learn something new, do things you previously thought was aliens turn out to not be aliens anymore? Or do you never learn anything new?
1
we haven't been putting nukes in space...
1
following facts and making wild assumptions are two different things.
1
@TheAaronRodgersTao what assumption was that?
1
there is no stigma, the only stigma is the un-skeptical belief that aliens are here on earth.
1
@steveingersoll650 did you read my whole sentence?
1
whatever it is, it ain't aliens.
1
how do you know "when they don’t know what they are talking about" is true?
1
@brianhitpas4542 to be fair to them, Kim went quite nuts, basically claiming aliens are here with little to no evidence. They could be more open minded, but so could she to the notion that it might actually not be aliens...
1
@mercurialpierrot7073 doesn't everyone know bout it?
1
it bothers very few people. What bothers us is how easy it is for people to believe they are here.
1
you have to separate the two ideas "aliens in the universe" and "aliens on earth". The former is basically a given while the latter is incredibly unlikely.
