@emirandme some are, but not everybody. That is just reality.

honestly, the public isn't smart enough, but censoring is still bad because people are smart enough to realize they are being censored, and that just pushes them to believe even more strange things.

its like a scientist who is skeptical about a scientist who cherry picks data.

but he has a point though. It is the same for republicans as well, some leftie goes there and says nutty things and catches people "agree".

@jcmeadows1 sure, but it better expresses what it is about.

@jcmeadows1 more accurately.

@jcmeadows1 since the goal is to be able to express ideas rather than insult people. This discussion is about understanding the opposing view, and I think free ideas more accurately describe the general free speech position over the moderate heavily position.

@allenrains3132 the point being is that it should not be strange that a journalist is skeptical about journalism just like a scientist should be skeptical about science. Critical thinking, you know. When you are an expect in the field, you know how easy it is to deceive. You can't know if they cherry pick data, because you don't know if they left anything out. But that is besides the point, there is no point in focusing on pointing out difference in analogies.
