  4.  @scoutdixie4412  it is not about being close minded, it is about having experience and being able to expect an outcome. I am not close minded for thinking that I am not going to be able to fly even if I flap my arms really fast, it is just my experience predicting an outcome. Regarding imagination, what requires imagination is actually finding natural explanations to things that seem extraordinary, as it requires no imagination what so ever to just say well that is obviously aliens/magic/ghosts etc.
