@andersondaniel8667 what is the maximum amount of vote difference that can still be called "not that far off" according to you? And why not one vote higher or lower? 46.1% vs. 48.2% isn't that far off. It can't get much closer than that (2%), but it can get much further away (98%). By definition, the most legitimate reason to keep it as it is is because it is like that already. If you want to argue this case, you have to be more reasonable, otherwise there is no reason to take you seriously.

I didn't use "it's not far off" as an argument to keep it, just an observation that it is close to being the popular vote. My legit argument for keeping it is because that is the law currently. A legitimate law. "Why are local and state elections popular vote?" Because they are states. "Why should a vote in Rhone Island be less than a vote in California, or in a swing state?" Because The United States as a united set of States. Also, so avoid "the tyranny of the masses" "Why should your vote be punished because you’re a Democrat living in a deep-red state or vice versa?"
