I am in no way dismissing their training, and if anything your reply was quite narcissistic/dismissive. "UFO sightings" are all find and dandy, the issue is when you claim it is aliens.

  8.  @VoiceBoxWithOpposableThumbs  we are not talking about "openly entertaining the idea" here, people are assuming it is aliens because they have no other explanation. As always, the unknown reasonable explanation is unknown until it is known. I am not "dismissing multiple credible witness testimonies and footage", I am dismissing the jump to conclusion that it is even remotely likely to be aliens. This is quite similar to the God-of-the-gaps fallacy, presuming something you can't explain is because of God/aliens. "then what do you think the ufo sightings might be?" Have you seen any rebuttal to the tic-tac videos etc?

"Nicknamed “Blackbird” the SR-71 has held the world record for the fastest air-breathing manned aircraft since 1976 and flies at a speedy Mach 3.5 (4,321.8 kilometres per hour)!" 4,321.8 kph is roughly 1200 m/s, as mentioned 3.5 times the speed of sound.
