"When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."
54
I am never again going to vote left because of these people.
23
if anything, it is a GOOOOOOOOD thing if he attracts the alt right. The less votes for trump the better.
8
I disagree :)
7
I mean, that is essentially the entire society.
5
@coldwind1791 how detailed are the candidates usually about foreign policy at this point in the process?
4
you have to be able to live and interact with people with whom you disagree with politically and socially.
4
@coldwind1791 Pete thinks USA needs to have an integral part of the world, just not a military one unless absolutely necessary.
3
I honestly miss this comedy, but his earlier stuff was the funniest.
3
?
3
Schumer talks as if Netanyahu is the president...
3
honestly though, these are not particularly bad times.
2
@zentonil the term "red pill" is way wider than that, they just adopted it.
2
@Mugdorna no worries, and thx! I just think we have to be careful when we describe them as a homogeneous group, they seem quite eclectic to me! (pardon if I used the word incorrectly) Although I actually can't seem to remember seeing any correlation between beliefs in flat earther and Qanon. Maybe they are just smart enough to realize they shouldn't speak about the flat earth stuff haha!
2
@G8GT364CI as a non-native English speaker, I like when I get free education. The only time it is annoying is when someone tries to dismiss your point just because your English wasn't perfect :P.
2
@G8GT364CI not that I doubted you, but nice to hear :D. Cool, good luck :).
2
@thebrunoserge what are you trying to accomplish? I can tell you that whatever it is, you are failing at it and just comes off as an irrational Musk hater.
2
because the goal is learning, and they learn a lot from pushing the envelop to the point of failure/breaking.
2
5:¤0 no ,it is not fundamentally peaceful because if that is what they/you want, you could have had that every decade last century.
2
the easiest answer here is probably starlink
2
a big portion of the nation was fixated on making it to the moon. Now it is just a private company. Well, China is making a real effort as well, but they are not trying like the US did in the 60s.
2
where any Q drops about satanism?
2
@joshuaederer7883 You'll have to excuse me as I am not a native English speaker. Out of curiosity, how proficient are you in your 2nd language? Also, would you appreciate it if I'd tell you to learn to use punctuation?
2
@joshuaederer7883 You are way to hung up on one misspelled word mate from a non-native English speaker (or are you also upset that I wrote satanism instead of Satanism? :P). How was my question stupid? It is only stupid if the answer is extremely obvious to everyone, but is it really? Were any Qdrops about Satanism? If so, how many and were they among the earlier or the later drops? "... the people you’re trying to ridicule." You have gotten this all wrong mate. I am not trying to ridicule anyone, I am genuinely asking a question.
2
@joshuaederer7883 "I would be more courteous if you were asking the question in earnest." Evidence points to the opposite, as I was earnest and you were not courteous. "I speak 3 languages fluently." Have you ever misspelled any word using them? "Is it my responsibility to ask you what language you speak when you’re the one attempting to participate in writing?" No, is it my responsibility to ask you to use proper punctuation when writing? Was it my fault to think you'd understand what I meant with my question even if I'd accidentally misspell a word? You did understand my question, right?
2
@joshuaederer7883 your downfall is retreating to sarcasm instead of answering a simple question.
2
@joshuaederer7883 "You’re sarcasm and continued criticism of myself, is very off putting ..." You thought I wasn't nice in what I wrote and you use that to justify not being nice back. Now you complain that I wasn't nice when you weren't nice to me. You can't be this sensitive when you had a choice between interpreting what I originally wrote as nice or not nice and chose to interpret it as not nice, and then reply (what you thought were) in kind. "... I still do not believe you’re asking an honest question. " Does it really matter? If you want me to know the truth, wouldn't you want to answer the question? "Aside from that, are you denying the existence of ritualistic cults?" Why would I? Why do you presume I would? (which you do when you ask the question and write "Research history.", so don't try to deny it)
2
@joshuaederer7883 "I could ask you the same. Pretty hypocritical of you." I have no idea what you are talking about. Please quote what you reply to if you find it important enough. "Would you rather I just assume your nationality?" This is not about your initial impression, this is about your fixation about a misspelled word, that I have to assume didn't hinder you from understanding my question.
2
@dfadjfkanvcklav you are joking, right?
2
@garrick7076 yes I was, I was voting green.
1
@rai2423 you know, this is one of the reasons, you people have to ignore the truth to hold on to your opinions.
1
@95brickhaus14 hm, so it was bad voting left a decade ago?
1
@rai2423 that I voted left a decade ago.
1
@rai2423 and I donated to ship to gaza some 8 yeas ago or so.
1
3:00 yeah that happens when your family is like 100 people big.
1
@Mugdorna who says they think it is "from JFKs yacht"?
1
@zentonil why? It is a reference to The Matrix that perfectly describes a an interesting situation/process.
1
@Mugdorna nothing you just said had anything to do with the slogan from the movie though...
1
@Mugdorna "I never claimed it did. " I never claimed you claimed it did... "The slogan is ... NOT from a bell on JFKs yacht as some in the Q cult claim." I asked because I haven't encountered any Qperson claim this, I have only seen references to the movie. I better understand what you mean now that you say "some" instead of "they". "I was merely providing an example of their delusional loyalty." I would have preferred a simple answer to the question :P.
1
@deannasmith4443 things can have multiple meanings, which is perfectly fine.
1
@ossie22 man, you have totally lost it.
1
@coldwind1791 that is another question. The question I answered was: "What did he say that gave you that impression"
1
@jaredkinneyjr oh I have one of them, no biggie.
1
more people believe in god than this, which says a lot given how likely it is for a god to exist (very unlikely).
1
to give you a real answer. Yes if you mean a fully integrated test (i.e. after going to space). No if you mean the flights to just ~10km with just the starship and then landing.
1
tbh, most of the media I have seen have been quite fair, but it is true it is difficult to fit in nuance in headlines.
1
@radkahunter2908 as an interesting exercise, what is the lest unreasonable part of Qanon according to you?
1
I like that climate change prevention got a big cheer :).
1
only 63% white? that is interesting :)
1
@alexfreidah1075 of course every person has the right to scream tyranny..... My point is that we should get some perspective on this people vs. government thing.
