I believe this is a good holiday not because it's a day off for federal employees but it is a good discussion for schools to talk about slavery in America even if it is a topic some would like to hid or twist. Facts are facts and this was the real cause of the civil war that cost 100s of thousands of people their lives

  4.  @xychogaming  well I believe a day off in the summer is better that a day in December, nothing wrong with celebrating the end of slavery in America but it would have made more sense 150 years ago to acknowledge it however the south would really be up in arms if they did that back then
