@dodieodie498 fair enough and well stated, it just drives me insane with the antimask and antivax people even within my own family and friends. I have lost 5 people so far all of them unvaxxed. But you points are definitely taken to heart, I understand I do get caught up in the numbers and politicians like Desantis make me angry because of his lack of public health crisis reaction

@Lulu-hk3er look at the difference in population size between those 2 states also if we can get people to get vaxxed and wear masks in public places with many people in them those numbers will come way down for both states

@dodieodie498 the problem with allowing parents to choose whether to mask school children is a bad one because children will be bullied by the antimask crowd as we have seen in the school board meetings across the country also it is obviously more likely not to spread with masks. Desantis by trying to not pay school boards for mask was a form of government forcing people to make decisions that are in the interest of public health crisis issues. I do agree the division in the country is a huge problem but this was amplified by trump forcing people to be 100 percent behind everything he did or be against him. He was not the president America needed at that time. I agree on many of your points but can't agree with some. I would like to see a more equal and less divided country but you are correct about media being for one team only

@dodieodie498 I appreciate your thought out opinions without the childish responses I tend to get in comment sections. My view remains though I believe masks and vaccines should have never politicized and were done by a president holding maskless rallies and ripping it off after he himself got the virus, pushing unproven treatments and wacko doctors that believe demons can impregnate people, it is obvious to me that if someone is sick and coughs on me if we are both wearing masks it cuts the likelihood of transmission way down. No one likes the virus or masks but to error on the side of caution is just common sense. As far as Trump, yes the nation was and always has been divided however this president with his overt tones of white nationalism are dangerous to America. Did you ever think you would see a day that a president would cause the Capitol to be attacked to try and stop the certification of the election, that would not show up at the inauguration to transfer the presidency, that would continue to endorse a lie without enough substantive evidence to even get in a court. I understand conservatives and Republicans be this is something else, this is a president that seems to get his political views from a drunk on a barstool spouting that it is everyone else's fault for all the ills of America. You don't make America better with hate fear and guns everywhere. I honestly believe he doesn't has views of his own I believe he says things and his rallies,see how loud the cheers are for whatever he says then just repeats the things with the loudest cheers. As we learn more and more each day about closed doors things you get a clearer and clearer picture of what this president really is

@dodieodie498 fair enough and I am sure we will never agree on certain matters even if I show you evidence and facts, but I won't go there because while you say I follow party lines you do just that while defending masks and trump. I appreciated your views as a matter of debate without the childishness these things can go to. I believe history will bear me out while I didn't disagree with some of the things trump did I did disagree with many and his boorish behavior and juvenile talk. You seem like quite an intelligent man I enjoyed our Exchange. I know how hard it must be to defend some of trump's actions and words

@dodieodie498 perhaps we will debate again sometime, perhaps I should have worded that differently to not sound sarcastic. What I meant was I believe you are an intelligent person however I feel if I showed you facts and evidence on masks and trump you would simply dismiss them as fake news or some other way to dismiss all the evidence. Not meant as sarcasm just a common defense
