Comments by "My Name" (@MyName-pl7zn) on "JUST IN: GOP Governor Discusses Afghan Refugee Arrivals, Details Vetting Process" video.
Watch the right wingers freak out that refugees are brought to America seeking a better way of life

@jeanwalke6015 this is such a false narrative to talk all brown people are Democrats or vote that way, it helps the right push the agenda that if you are white vote Republican. People vote based of issues that are their self interest and world view. Also the recent terrorists attacks in America have been mostly from right wing extremists
2
The Americans still there chose to stay and also most are dual citizenship Afghans
1
@jeanwalke6015 I don't kid, what do you disagree with?
1
@jeanwalke6015 your statement was that they would be future Democrats just spouting the nonsense of Fox news, also this is about refugees not the boarder. Sex trafficking isn't that what matt Gaetz being investigated for? This is a scummy person issue not political affiliation issue

@pindapoy214 all of these issues you mentioned are extremely important to me, global warming is real and we have to get away from fossil fuels, loss of power in Texas while Cruz ran to Mexico to avoid it, the covid virus must be taken more seriously by the right and get vaxxed and wear masks when there are outbreaks, unemployment is going down and there are help wanted signs everywhere, we are behind on early education and higher unaffordable education and also medical care for all not tied to our work, the conservative supreme court just stuck down eviction help. Now as for the Afghan refugees these people would love to come to America not to change it but become a part of it and it's freedom and equality. People often say no to immigrants but we have hundreds of thousands of jobs that people born here turn their noses up to that these people would love to do. Our population is aging and we need a younger workforce to pay taxes to support the nation. So many that are here wish to project immigrants as lazy and criminal which isn't usually the case, I believe these refugees would make great Americans and respect our country and laws

@jeanwalke6015 just sharing opinions

@sandracm38 do you think it is more like Matt Gaetz?

@joycallender6086 protest are fine until they become violent and criminals take over no matter what the protesters political affiliation, I have also seen countless videos of Karen's with white privilege attacking others, and January 6th speaks for itself. As for the boarders maybe we need to look at the policies we make that help cause central American countries so bad that people will risk their lives to flee them. My belief is to help people up rather than shooting them down. We live in a violent world and pushing our division rather than our common goals will only cause more divisions and chaos
1
@cynthiabromback8854 if you lived under Taliban rule you don't think you would forge documents to flee?
1
@sethjohnson1590 they can go back then

@pindapoy214 I really enjoy your intelligence thought out comments, while I agree with you on some points I disagree on others - I am somewhat of a greenie, as you stated, while the earth has gone through many hot and cold periods much of this has to do with volcanoes, meteors, magnetic poles changing, but as we stand right now the burning of fossil fuels is a huge factor in greenhouse effects. The experts agree that our footprint is the leading cause. I understand that renewable energy is in its infancy with much to be done to get it right, batteries have made leaps in the last decade but you are correct in it doesn't store enough and is harmful to get the materials used now. But we cannot throw in the towel innovations are made at a great rate. Nuclear power isn't the answer because of natural disasters and the radiation from waste. I suggest you watch the documentary "tickling the dragon's tail" by Nova I believe. We have to go in another direction

@pindapoy214 the Ted Cruz thing was just to show his hypocrisy Unemployment, I believe isn't so much as the money from unemployment but a direct cause of the younger generation not wanting to work for the low wages that will not get you enough to survive on, I talk to the next generation and while I believe they are not as tough as my own, they see what houses and rent are going for and do not see the point in these meager wages. I believe the work force is in hungrier populations in poor countries. I admire the fact that you did construction work in Africa and imagine you come from the generation that wasn't as spoiled as some of today's youths - I don't believe in the conspiracy theories that swirl around the vaccines but rather people that wish to follow trump's lead of ripping off the mask and nonsense of don't let the virus dominate you. - I believe that there are many Afghans that would trade some of the Islamic beliefs to live a free live here, but I understand your sentiment because they do want their prayers played over loud speakers in their neighborhoods, I believe that it is better to show them American way of live and most will blend in without the radical form of Islamic religion. - lastly on the debt, I believe that this is why the warhawks continue to beat the war drums about China, however I war of this scale would destroy civilization, a deal needs to be brokered

@pindapoy214 thank you again I usually get senseless babble instead of debate

@pindapoy214 don't understand why my last comment was removed, perhaps because some words are banned on YouTube. First we were the English immigrants that wanted to collect and keep the taxes here. Also it was going to happen because England was to distant to keep boots on the ground especially when the French were on the side of the colonists. 2nd you can't compare the American revolution to Afghanistan because this is a tribal land with many different factions who have always defeated any invading power that tries to control this unforgiving landscape. When we leave there will most certainly be many groups and warlords fighting for power but know this whoever comes out on top will rule with an iron fist and will be Islamic. As far as the other 3rd world countries you mentioned the rule has always been whoever has the guns and men will be in charge and I don't see that changing soon. Revolutions in these land are met with severe repercussions to whole families.

@pindapoy214 to compare what I have stated to the Spanish invasion of central America is completely incorrect. These are people coming to another established country with the understanding that they must fit in. 1st generation immigrants do hold on to beliefs of their old lands but want to become American but it isn't easily done. However the 2nd generation of immigrants let go of the old countries beliefs and become westernized, I know this because in the area I grew up in there were many immigrants whose children became just like other Americans and let go of old beliefs.

@pindapoy214 first the Arabs have a saying " I against my brothers, I and my brothers against my cousins, I and my brothers and my cousins against the world" this is it in that part of the world constantly changing allies and always fighting. These people will always change allies and fight and whoever ends up on top will rule with an iron fist until toppled by a rival. This was an unwinnable war from the start, we should have left after bin laden was dead if not for the military industrial complex. Honestly I admired Fidel to stand against the world power even if it costed the country financially better than being a casino and brothel to America. But you can't compare some countries to others because of religious beliefs and traditions. The Mexicans lost their territory to the US because of no organization and infighting. I also believe the Spanish left Mexico because it was no longer profitable and highly expensive.

@pindapoy214 all major religions have been believe in our"God" or die by the sword, Christianity has evolved into something different than this over the eons, Islam hasn't yet but will or there will be a religious war, like so many times in the past. I believe America should be the right to believe in whatever your God is, freedom of religion without forcing it on anyone else, since the beginning of America ethic or religion groups settled an area with their groups and every other group talks down or suppress the other and tries to demonize them.

@pindapoy214 what people get wrong about 9 11 is the fact that the attack was based on the fact that the US had bases in Saudia Arabia which the extremists saw as holy land, it wasn't so much the hate for America as much as it was the extremists saw this as a threat to their land. Religion makes people do crazy things and proves that we are just hairless apes that hold on to tribal thinking. But I still hold to that the Afghan refugees that want to come to the west want freedom from repressive religious war lords and would adapt
