A few of these are only ridiculous when applied to a mass audience.  At 1:37, you can see several simultaneous clips of physical therapists using the Hawaii Chair with older patients, probably because they've had a fall and need to gently rehab their hips.  The Snuggie allows people in wheelchairs to cover their torsos while sitting up.  The Flowbee is used in nursing homes for residents who you can't easily take out to a salon.
