  2. I was involved in a death in custody many moons ago. The guy died of cocaine poisoning in a cell. Myself and others spent 17 minutes giving him CPR, but unfortunately to no avail. There were ten us kept in the report writing room for five hours post that incident. White bunny suits and all our kit and uniforms taken from us, even our boots. We could see a number of visiting senior officers in the building through the glass doors. They were there for a number of hours. Not one of them came to speak to us, except the stand in inspector who we had that night, and who’d I’d never met before. I left the police soon afterwards.

Anyway, while I agree with most of what you said, any commander must know that he/she should not have a 'consensual' relationship with someone under their command. The boss of the RAFAT should have informed his CoC as soon as it crossed the line. One of them should then have been re-assigned.
