  2. They've had Biden confirm he's intending to debate but I think that's just cover so they can pretend to be disappointed when he has to pull out for _reasons_. I wouldn't be surprised if he comes down with a sudden case of Covid. That would keep him off the scene for 2-3 weeks.

Christianity quite well allows for separation of church and state (Catholicism perhaps a little less so) and it's no accident that secular humanism saw its rise in Europe. The left is mostly worried that alternative religions get in the way of the worship of the state. There's no way they'd put up with Islam the way they do if they didn't see it as a tool to attack the dominant religion in the west. (Disclaimer: I'm not a Christian).

  18. It seems to me that logically, taxes should be lower in the city. You need more facilities but they are shared by even more people so efficiencies of scale should apply. Yet universally, big cities mean high taxes which, to me, indicates massive corruption. People put up with it because of the extras big cities can offer (or, I suspect, often because they don't know any other way).
