  1. It seems to me that logically, taxes should be lower in the city. You need more facilities but they are shared by even more people so efficiencies of scale should apply. Yet universally, big cities mean high taxes which, to me, indicates massive corruption. People put up with it because of the extras big cities can offer (or, I suspect, often because they don't know any other way).
