Another thing Amazon have changed is that it used to be if you removed your account from a kindle, the books would still remain on it. Now it wipes everything off. The old behavior made it nice for sharing with a family member. They now have something along those lines but it's not as useful. I use my kindle as an e-reader and sideload most of what I read with Calibre. I imagine it's only a matter of time before they close that door. At which point, I'll find something else.
