  1. Watch out for your relatives, especially if they're the stubborn type. My mother had some symptoms and I thought she was taking care of it (I wasn't seeing her that often at the time) but she was just sticking her head in the sand and by the time it was manifesting itself enough that she couldn't ignore it, it was too late.

  2. If true, it adds some interesting speculation of what might also be regular risk factors for alzheimers absent of covid. Could other colds and flus also be involved?

  3. One possibility that should be eliminated would be covid being more fatal for those not susceptible to alzheimers. They wouldn't/couldn't be being counted in the counterexamples.

  5.  @noras6860  Even when there is sick leave, there is often pressure to stay in the office or at work. And that's not just the US. If one good thing comes out of covid, it will be people reexamining this self-defeating attitude.

  7. As someone with scientific training, I was open to almost everything at the beginning (though I had my own ideas and biases) and waited for the science to start coming in. When all I saw was propaganda and naked assertions and the suppression of dissent, it was clear something was very, very wrong.
