  1.  @darkdevilone8613  You're confused. Lots of games more focused on gameplay are doing well. Cuphead, Undertale, heck, Minecraft. What you are talking about is newer developers leaning more heavily on the GPU capabilities as they have advanced where previously they would have had to optimize heavily for the game to even be playable (and honestly, I think that's probably the correct move if a little premature). That's an orthogonal issue.
