  1. Comparing to cartridge games in 1985 is a bad comparison because of the hardware costs. Those of us buying games on more comparable cheap media (cassettes, disks) would often pay 5-10 for a game and sometimes less for budget titles. Development costs are definitely higher though. Not to mention you could swap games with your friends to extend the value. And the market was smaller. Word is Rockstar has gone woke anyway so I'll be holding off on this one whatever.

  2. I think the trick if you want to sell at a lower price is to put out at the standard (70) and have lots of discounts and sales.
