  1. F2P can be seen as a "first one's free" kind-of advertising. It doesn't matter if people are getting a free ride if enough of them convert to good paying customers later. So with that in mind, adding advertising could either be beneficial to the company by allowing them money or detrimental by driving people away. I kinda agree with Asmongold that people will put up with it, sadly and that's all that's needed. The big issue I have with internet advertising is that it often brings very little value to the company (and quite often the advertisers) while disproportionately negatively affecting the end user by being annoying or using bandwidth or especially time (mine is valuable) or whatever else. It's a very shitty model for revenue generation in many cases.
