@randylahey8207 The problem is, there's no penalty for making bad law. So they go ahead and make bad law and hope they can take advantage of it before corrections are made which can be decades later. The problem with the constitutions is that it assumes the legislature would be reasonable people who acted reasonably.

Oliver is terrible. He was OK on the daily show when they kept him reined in and he did a good bit on civil forfeiture but other than that, the only worthwhile thing he's done was his stint on Community.

There's a documentary about Noam Chomskey's book "Manufacturing consent" that's worth a watch. Chomsky's poliics are trash but he shines an interesting light.
