  1. They did have the DX for a while. I'm guessing they didn't sell all that well. Clearly Amazon is hoping that adding a stylus might be the killer app. Plus in relative terms, I think the price is lower.

  2. I tried that on a lexan glass I had. It didn't go well. Might not be so bad with the glass backing on this but that's a big risk.

  3.  @BritishTeaLover  Talking about it is kind-of pointless. What's needed is force measuring equipment in real-world conditions. I suspect it would actually be unlikely to get beyond 3x the tongue weight but the only way to know is to actually do it. Personally, I never intend to buy a cyber truck so not it.

  5. Impressive how much the glass was able to flex. It must be pretty thin. You can see why it's pricey (even with taking Apple nonsense into account)

  7. Kindles do allow notes but you have to use the onscreen keyboard for the ones without this.

  9.  @liledw13  I know there are lots of aluminum alloys with various properties, some of them quite surprising over regular aluminum so I'd like to know more about the long-term stress behavior of this one. Might be fine. Might not.

  10. I am a bit concerned at how close you guys were without any protection. I suggest a view of the hydraulic press channel to see what can happen when things release under extreme pressure. Glad it all worked out though.

  12. I agree. It would be nice but 370 is a bit much and even with prime day coming up, that's probably too steep. Hopefully they might bring the tech to their smaller devices though.

  13. I replaced the screen on a paperwhite. It was pretty straightforward. The bezel came off then everything was screwed together. I'm not sure about this construction though.

  15. With the lack of saturation, I can't imagine where this would be an improvement over a black and white kindle. Might give it a look though. Edit: Oh, $120 premium for what amounts to a colored sticker? I think I'll wait.
