  2. Yup. Android - Linux (based on Unix), most e-readers - Linux, many smart TVs - Linux. Unix type OSs are here for the long term.

  3. Linux never got Unix certified. Technically, Linux is just the kernel though. Either way, Unix is still very relevant as you say.
