Just an anecdote. I got a fancy business scanner given to me which is not working. I did a little diagnosing and tracked it down to a corrupted flash memory. If I could get a copy of the memory, I could restore this device easily, even if I also had to replace the chip (which I'm thinking I probably don't). I tried contacting Epson. I wasn't expecting to be able to get the flash but I was willing to pay for a replacement board which I think is the minimum a company selling business oriented products should be willing to do. No luck. They want me to send it to an Epson service center. I'm not willing to put that much into it. Ridiculous. It's a DS-760 in case someone can help me out by chance.
