  1. Are we really that much in a minority that these manufacturers are not willing to cater to us? How about a swapable battery with the case back built-in? Then it can be made as big as anyone would want. Add a few screws if you really want to improve the water resistance.

  2.  @mjc0961  Well said. Though I'm not sure that the removal of the headphone jack is about selling headphones from anyone other than Apple. There seems to be an obsession with how phones look when not in use and a total rejection of functional design. Honestly, I think some of these reviewers would be happier if they were handed a piece of clear, tempered glass with a company logo stamped on it.

  3. The battery getting old can cause crashes due to being unable to supply power so the manufacturers decided to slow the phones down to require less power. Side benefit that it makes your phone look shit next to a newer model when all you need is a new battery.

  4.  @IamUzyf  They got worse, not better. At least in the functional design dept. Stick a new processor and more memory in and S5 and I'm good. The hardware guys are doing a great job. The designers are dropping the ball.

  8. There's supposed to be a Linux phone coming out this year. I'm not holding out a lot of hope but it could be interesting.

  9.  @unoriginalyoutubename8761  It's not terrible. I still use one and the chrome is flaking off and Google maps causes problems and I'm sure stuff is going to stop being compatible soon but it works well enough for most things.

  10.  @wh0_am_152  I have a wireless charging back. It makes the phone thicker which actually feels better. It works well but I prefer the speed of wired charging.

  13. It may have been more a question of which manufacturer was willing to work with them. I can't see Apple or Samsung playing along with this.
