Samsung has been at the top for too long. They are getting arrogant and thinking they are Apple when the truth is they're just another Android phone producer that has put out decent hardware and a launcher of questionable virtue. Someone can very easily eat their lunch if they get complacent.

@Aeroxima Samsung is a little weird in that they do a lot of other things besides phones and also sell screens to a lot of other phone companies. In fact, I suppose looking at their phones as being mostly about the screens might explain some things.
