Everyone should be republishing their content on the new alternative sites and encouraging people to use them. Also center your funding around subscriptions and donations (and possibly merch and sponsors though sponsors are risky too).

@wesleyswafford2462 You're not wrong but certainly Youtube policies have encouraged it and they've played fast and loose with contract law in a way that wouldn't be tolerated in more traditional industries.

This is the same all through tech. Both Facebook and Google have pulled technologies that I was investigating basing a business around, one of which I'd put a fair amount of work into. Imagine if I had a lease and employees.
