  1. Something doesn't add up here. Both in my experience and in what is being described. Firstly (though less relevantly), I can access the UK amazon site using my US account. I used that fact to buy a kindle for my UK friend. So setting up a second account with the same email address wouldn't seem to make sense (albeit I'm not saying it's impossible). Secondly, If you make two accounts with the same email address... When you join a kindle to your Amazon account using the kindle, you use the email and password. So if you have an account with the email address for the UK and an account with the email address for the US (say), how does the kindle know which to use? With that said, I'm not sure how this resolves with buying books from the various sites and buying books from the store on the kindle itself. Let's just say I have questions. Maybe there is geoblocking going on.

  2. I'll add another point, which is more informational than anything. If you download a book to your kindle and then you change account, the book is still readable on your kindle (the first kindle I had, I bought used and it came with a bunch of books installed - none of which I was interested in reading). So it's possible to utilize books from multiple accounts at the same time. (Please note that none of this is to say that other points aren't valid. There's certainly plenty to call Amazon out for. Also I support non-DRMed local copies of media).
