Hopefully they haven't got the guns all-out for you. I've heard of people getting audited every year for 8 years (guess which 8 years). Note that the intention is not to catch you out with the audit, merely to subject you to the audit. You can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride.

@WhiteTree97 Many large cities have smaller cities nearby with technology initiatives specifically to suck disillusioned businesses away from bigger cities. Maybe his employees (at least enough of them) would appreciate living somewhere with a lower COL and a better living environment, especially if they're thinking of starting families.
