  1.  @stanimir4197  He put extra voltage too which could have turned it from a low-resistance short to a high-resistance. Should have used a known-bad part.

  2. Overvolt a cap, it becomes a resistor, overvolt a resistor, it becomes open circuit. You got too carried away. Should probably have used a known-bad part instead.

  3. Depends on how cryptographic Apple got. Nice to know the extra money you pay for Apple products is going in to screwing the customer over. Though Apple isn't the only offender in the space (printer cartridges).
