  1. Unfortunately, in the same way that Microsoft seems to be copying Apples shitty hardware, Linux developers have been adopting the flaws in Microsoft's shitty software.

  2. The start menu, click to focus, things becoming bloated and monolithic and dumbed down. You can still get a good, streamlined user experience which is why raspberry pi, android and chromebooks are a thing but the KISS mantra has been abandoned in many cases (KDE and systemd two major examples).

  5. That smiley face sucks. I killed a bunch of time on a friend's laptop trying to work out what was wrong with that. No obvious reason it wouldn't boot, it just wouldn't boot. Tried restoring all sorts of things including MBRs, registry etc. Finally had to do a reset which took it back to 8.1 then had to reinstall 10 on top of that. Microsoft have managed to introduce something stupid and fragile in their boot sequence.
