  1. Yes. I had a mower that wouldn't start at all one year. I drained it and filled it with 4 year old non-ethanol gas and it started first try.

  2. Costco has one and it's sometimes on sale. My only regret is that it doesn't take natural gas since that is more easily available at my house.
