I think the better answer would be to keep to the rules for the kernel submissions but keep a parallel repository for those who want the latest-and-greatest bleeding edge version of his software.

@thewhitefalcon8539 It's the old issue of when you create an organization, it has to do things to justify its existence even if those things are counter to the original reason for its creation.

@Bogster13 And yet they changed them. Which implies they didn't think they could do the things they wanted to do under the old rules. That "more or less" can cover a lot of ground.

No, it's not all that matters. That's "ends justify the means" thinking and leads to all sorts of problems. It does seem clear the Overstreet should have been suspended simply because he wasn't conforming to submission rules and wasn't willing to change but how this was done was the wrong way to go about it.
