  2. I know a VW I rented would auto-brake when your were on a hill. So you wouldn't need to apply gas anyway.

  5. facepalm on the "changing gears" on a CVT. I understand why it's a thing though.

  6. You should push the button when you engage the handbrake. It saves a tiny bit of wear but mainly it's possible to pull the brake on hard enough that it's hard to disengage with the button if you don't.
